City of Superior to Dedicate New Tribute Trees Next Week
The City of Superior has a new harvest of tribute trees in the city and city leaders will gather next week to dedicate them.
Superior Mayor Jim Paine and members of the City of Superior’s Urban Forestry Tree Board will travel around the city on June 15th thanking all the Tribute Tree donors.
Seven trees have been planted around the city this time around thanks to the program that allows individuals or businesses to give a lasting, living gift in memory of someone or something with a beautiful tree.
The Tribute Tree program offers 1 1/2 inch diameter Tribute Trees for $150 and 3 inch trees for $300, both donations are tax deductible and come with certificate signed by the Mayor of Superior telling the species of tree, where the tree is planted, and the reason why it was planted.
All the planted trees are guaranteed to last one year, if the tree fails to grow, another will be planted at no charge to the donor. For additional $45, donors can choose to have a 4x6 plaque added to the base of the tree that can display a message. Between 2019 and 2020, about 11 Tribute Trees have been planted around the city.
