Over 1 Million Coolers Recalled Due to Injuries
The recall includes several models of coolers made by Igloo that were sold at Costco, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, and several other retailers. Many online retailers also sold the coolers, with Amazon being the largest.
Affected Models and Retailers
The recall applies to the Igloo 90 Qt. Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers, which were sold in various body and lid color combinations under model names like LATITUDE and MAXCOLD.

These coolers ranged in price from $80 to $140, but the potential medical costs from injuries could be much higher.
Reported Injuries and Safety Concerns
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports 12 cases of severe fingertip injuries, including fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and deep lacerations.
The recalled coolers have "IGLOO" printed on the side and were sold between January 2019 and January 2025. If you own one of these coolers, check the bottom for a label listing the model number and manufactured date.
What to Do If You Own a Recalled Cooler
If you discover that you have one of these recalled coolers, stop using it immediately and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle.
