So many of us were so excited to see live music again as it seemed the COVID-19 Pandemic was starting to wane. Local shows in the Twin Ports were playing to sold out crowds and major artists were booking shows again in Las Vegas and setting up tour dates all over the country.

Move forward a few months, and some concerts and shows may actually be in jeopardy of happening due to COVID restrictions or policies. This might be the case for the Jonas Brothers who have set up their own protocols for their shows.

Right now, the Jonas Brothers are scheduled to perform on September 11 at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake Minnesota. According to their website here is their Mask Policy:

Mystic Lake and Little Six have lifted our mask mandate. Guests are no longer required to wear face masks. Team members are no longer required to wear masks, but may choose to do so.

The Jonas Brothers make no mention of masks being required at the show just proof of negative COVID test or proof of vaccination and this is what could cause the problem. Either the casino will not agree to this or fans will refuse and possibly want a refund which might cancel the show if enough people request a refund.

This is all uncharted territory for artists and the venues as well, but playing devil's advocate it is the artists right to protect themselves and if it means showing paperwork upon entry to the venue versus the concert not being held at all I am pretty sure there fans will comply. Lauren, our middays person on MIX 108, has tickets and has her fingers double crossed. I hope for the sake of the fans that the show does happen, stay tuned for any updates.
