Minnesota’s Newest Amphitheater Lands a Major 90s Act
When it comes to nineties music, there was a wide variety of sounds, from the rise of hip hop to the introduction of grunge rock. But few bands truly paved their own road like the one now planning a stop at Minnesota’s newest venue this summer.
A New Venue Making Noise Right Away in Minnesota
If it hasn’t become clear already, the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater, currently under construction as part of a new entertainment district in Shakopee, is not playing around. The venue is bringing in big-name artists as part of its inaugural season.

Newly added to the ever-expanding first-year schedule at what will be Minnesota’s largest outdoor amphitheater is the Dave Matthews Band. Known for a unique sound that blends rock, folk, and jazz, the band is famous for its live shows and has built a VERY loyal following over the years.
A Fan Base That Always Shows Up
While there is no officially sanctioned name for the fan base, like Swifties or Deadheads, fans of the band are often called Ants or Daveheads. Whatever you call them, there is little doubt they will show up in large numbers for the band’s first show at the new amphitheater.
The Shakopee stop is one of just three new venues the band will play on this upcoming tour, making the Minnesota date a notable one for longtime fans.

Tour Details and Ticket Information For Minnesota Show
The 35-date tour begins May 8 in Texas. It will travel through the South and Northeast before hitting a six-show Midwest run in late June. That stretch includes a stop at Mystic Lake Amphitheater on June 23.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, February 20 at 10 AM. At this time, there do not appear to be any presale opportunities, aside from possible access through the band’s official fan club, The Warehouse.
With several major concerts already announced, Minnesota’s newest venue appears poised to keep adding shows and make a splash in its first year. Now the focus turns to how the venue itself comes together ahead of opening night.
