Brothers Joel and Reed Elling went to Facebook over the weekend to announce they will be closing the doors to Discount Duluth located in West Duluth.

In the video the Elling brothers posted to their Facebook page, they said "When we first opened this store, it was our intention to just offer deals to a community that really needed it, and unfortunately we realized pretty soon after that we weren’t equipped to run retail"

They are from West Duluth and and grew up in a low income family who didn't buy anything unless it was sale. The brothers wanted to help out the West Duluth neighborhood so they would purchase overstock, closeouts, and customer return truckloads directly from the words largest retailers. All of their products were then priced  40-85% current local and online retailers.

Discount Duluth's final day will be the end of December, with a storewide closing discount offered until the doors are officially closed.
