Duluth Fire Department Investigating Fire at Ursa Minor Brewing
The Duluth Fire Department is investigating an overnight fire at Ursa Minor Brewing that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.
According to the Duluth Fire Department, at around 12:43 last night they were called to a report of a fire at Ursa Minor located at 2415 W Superior St. when they arrived at the scene they discovered an attached shed fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly put out and they say that the fire did not make it inside the main building. The fire destroyed a refrigeration unit, forklift, and other stuff stored in or near the shed and caused about $75,000 worth of damage.
The Duluth Fire Department is looking for the publics' help on any information about the fire, anyone with info can call the Duluth Fire Marshal's office at 218-730-5080.
Several departments were called to the scene including Lincoln Park, Spirit Valley, and Downtown, and they got assistance from the Duluth Police, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service, Duluth Comfort Systems, and Minnesota Power.
Ursa Minor says that the taproom and patio are closed until further notice and that if you'd like to support them during this difficult time to go drink some of their beer, sounds good to me, count on my support.
"While this is a big hit to our little brewery, we will keep pushing through and work towards getting back to normal. We are so grateful for all of the support we have received thus far," Ursa Minor Brewing said in a Facebook post.
