Last month a picture of graffiti painted on a hockey rink in Lower Chester Park was reported to police officers. After an investigation using an older technique, the suspect was found.

Neighbors of the Lower Chester Park community group reported the graffiti. Police officers found a black spray paint can in the trash near the rink. The can was processed for finger prints that belonged to 20 year old Reese Townsend who was issued a citation for criminal damage to property. The cost to the City of Duluth to clean up the graffiti was $471.92.

I love that the community came together to capture this kid. Even the police said "Although this may seem like a minor crime, these are important to the Duluth Police Department and our community". Good work Duluth! Let me know in the comments how you feel about graffiti vandalism.
