Escape the Bong Features Multiple Escape Rooms This Weekend in Superior, Wisconsin

The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center is hosting the 4th annual Escape the Bong this weekend in Superior and it sounds like three days filled with a lot of fun!

There will be multiple escape rooms that promise to test your deduction and puzzle solving skills.  Each room is designed for an hour of problem solving fun along with a unique mission and experience.  Participants can expect new games to begin at the top of each hour.

There is a maximum of ten people per game but smaller groups may be combined to fill out a group of 10. Tickets are available now, $25 for adults and $15 for those 18 years and under per game. All funds raised from this three-day event will go to the education programs at the Bong Center.

Here is how organizers describe the escape rooms that will be featured throughout the weekend:

• FDR Bunker:  Thirteen stories below Grand Central Station, a rail platform was built for one passenger and one passenger only.  President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the platform as the arrival point for his armored rail car during World War II.  You have been accidentally “locked” in the room, and it will be up to you to gain your freedom.
• Escape Your Parents Prom: Can a photo booth really be a time machine? Landing at your parent’s prom can be a real dilemma.  Find your way back or survive the poofy hair!
• Dead Man’s Chest:  While scuba diving with friends, you find a secret cave full of treasure.  Fame and fortune will be yours with proof of the Queen’s bounty!
• Prison Break:  While touring Alcatraz on a class trip, the guard has locked you in a cell but was called away and forgot about you!  Get out quick or you will miss the last boat to San Francisco and have to spend a cold, scary night on The Rock! (organizers say this will not be a scary experience)

Escape the Bong is open Friday, February 11 through Sunday, February 13. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Bonus! With the extended weekend hours, guests 21 years and older can purchase a cold beverage beginning at 5:00 p.m.
