Former Duluth Mayor Herb Bergson Arrested in Douglas County

According to WDIO  Sheriff Tom Dalbec stated Herb Bergson who is 61, was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Lake Nebagamon and was arrested on Tuesday February 13th at 5:17pm.

According to the Douglas County Jail he faces charges of: TRAFFIC COMPLAINT/OFFENSE, RESISTING/OBSTRUCTING. Also according to Sheriff Dalbec Bergson faces possible charges of Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device .

Bergson has had run ins with the law in the past In 2005, when he was mayor of Duluth, Bergson pleaded no contest to operating while intoxicated after a crash in Washburn County. And court records indicate he was also convicted of OWI for incidents in 2012 and 2013 in southern Wisconsin.
