Giant Viking Statue in Minnesota Dominates Roadside
Move Over Paul Bunyan, you've got some competition for the best roadside statue.
The giant Viking statue stands about 30 feet tall I'm guessing and is painted to look like the World's Largest Minnesota Vikings' fan, painted in purple and yellow this statue joins a few others at a most unlikely location.
The Viking statue is accompanied by another big Viking statue also painted in Vikings' colors, a giant statue of a dude all ready to go to the beach dressed only in swim trunks, at one time the swim trunks were painted yellow, but within the last handful of years the trunks have also been painted purple and feature the Vikings logo, and there is also a giant gorilla statue.
All these roadside statues can be found at Eilen & Son Trucking located on MN-50 just outside of Hampton, Minnesota, which is in the southern part of the state near Farmington. The statues are placed in an area that is accessible to the public in a landscaped area just in front of the business, so it's a perfect place to grab a fresh profile pic or make a TikTok video.
Here's a video I found on Facebook from Angie Smith that shows the two Viking statues and the giant beach dude, I wonder if he has a name? I do like Giant Beach Dude though.
I think it's safe to say that the owners of the trucking company are giant Viking fans. Next time you're in the area, make plans to stop by and take photos and say hi to Giant Beach Dude for me.
