There's a fun tournament coming to Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club that's raising money for kids in the area. The Kids Golf Legacy Fund is hosting a 4 person mixed scramble on Sunday, September 25. It's a shotgun start that begins at 3:30 PM. Each team of four is required to have one female player.

It's a quick scramble on a Sunday afternoon. There's food and prizes following the round at 5:15 PM. Pike Lake's golf course is a Par 32 9-hole course right on the beach of Pike Lake. It doesn't take a whole lot of time to golf, but it is a fun and challenging course.

The money raised goes to the non-profit group Kids Golf Legacy Fund. The group was created to help promote golf in the Northland area. Their goal is to introduce kids to golf, educate them, and provide financial assistance to those who need it. Last month they held a free junior clinic and golf outing at Poplar Golf Course.

The fee per person is $25. That includes the round of golf, cart, food, and prizes. The winning teams in the scramble all receive $100 to Blackwoods Restaurant.

There also will be hole contests for both men & women participating. Closest to the hole on pins 1 & 9, the longest putt on 2, and the longest drive on hole 5.
