Cloquet’s Popular Seasonal Eatery Gordy’s Hi-Hat Shares Fall 2025 Closing Details
The days are getting shorter, and we've had a few tastes of cool days as a teaser ahead of the fall season.
As fall arrives, popular seasonal businesses are getting ready to shut things down after another busy and successful summer season. Included in that roster of seasonal destinations in the Northland is Gordy's Hi-Hat in Cloquet.
Even though we know every year that it's (eventually) coming, getting an official announcement for a closing date of Gordy's is a not-so-subtle reminder that summer is wrapping up and fall is arriving.
Now, the good news is we still have plenty of time to enjoy a delicious burger or their fantastic fish, but the clock is officially ticking before they close for the 2025 season.

Gordy's announced in a social media post yesterday (August 19) that while there is still nearly two months left to visit (maybe even a couple of times), there is an official closing date for this year.
The Cloquet eatery thanked customers for "another awesome season" while sharing that the final day of serving the Northland in 2025 will be Sunday, October 5. The message included a photo of their roadside sign with a countdown of the number of days left "of summer" to visit this year.
As some people pointed out jokingly in the comments, it is kind of optimistic for the sign to say summer ends in October in Northern Minnesota, but we get plenty of nice stretches of weather sometimes even into November before things change to colder weather more permanently for the year!

So if you want to squeeze in another visit or two, you now know how much time you have this year before the wait until the start of the 2026 season, which will likely be sometime in March of next year.
