Are you without grandma's treasured sugar cookie recipe this holiday season?  Hoops Brewing in Duluth is hoping that they can find a happy ending for some person or family and return what appears to be a potential heirloom item that was left at their Canal Park location.

The Canal Park business has in their possession a box that's filled with handwritten recipe cards. The box - and the cards - were left by a customer in November 2018 and no one has come back to claim them or inquire about them since.

What's puzzling is that it's obvious that the hand written recipes must mean something very special to someone - even if they aren't necessarily all that old.  Someone took the time to write out the cards or perhaps collect them over the course of many years.  With the increasing popularity of digital and online forms of saving or obtaining recipes, handwritten recipe cards are more of a novelty these days.  Or, an heirloom that's sentimentally valuable.

As we get closer to Christmas, the owners of Hoops Brewing have decided to make an effort to reconnect the recipe cards and the box with its rightful owner.

If these are your recipe cards or you have any important details that could potentially reconnect them to the family that's missing them, you're asked to reach out to Ingrid Hornibrook, the Director of Marketing and Events at Hoops Brewing. You can either call 218-391-9819 during normal business hours, or send an email to ingrid@hoopsbrewing.com.

There is a catch of course.  In order to make sure that the cards go back to their rightful owner, Hoops will need you to provide some identification details.  Specifically, they're asking you to "be able to identify one of the the contributors".  In addition - there is a unique décor on the cover of the recipe card box, which is flipped over in the provided picture; if the box is yours, you would know what's on it.
