An estimated group of 3,000 runners bounced their way through the first ever Insane Inflatable 5K course in Superior on Saturday. The sun was out, but temperatures remained cool as runners climbed, bounced, slid, and ran the course that was set up at the south end of the Richard Bong Airport.

Before each wave of runners was given their start, announcers encouraged everyone to "run for style points", using the inflatables to jump around or do some tricks. The course looped along the southern parts of the airfield, punctuated by a series of inflatable challenges that had runners climbing, sliding, bouncing, and avoiding obstacles to return to the terminal area to claim completion awards that included a medal and t-shirt.
