According to MPR News, Minnesota's biggest homegrown musical act Prince is in talks with the city of St. Paul for a concert possibly on September 15th and it wouldn't be in the Xcel Energy Center according to the sources, so one could assume an outdoor concert is in the works.

The city would not confirm or deny that they are in talks with Prince, only saying "there is no formal contract or agreement with him at this time for any shows in the city."

Harriet Island in St. Paul might be the location both Prince and the city have in mind as it was a successful venue for the first ever River's Edge Music Festival which brought in the Dave Matthews Band and Tool earlier this summer to crowds of 40,000+.

I for one will be keeping my fingers crossed, it's been years since I've seen him live and need my Prince fix, he is amazing live!
