Jeanne Ryan Goes Behind The Scenes at Lake Superior Zoo

The staff at Lake Superior Zoo are always hard at work trying to make your visit is fun and making sure all the animals are very well taken care of. Now you can see what goes on behind the scenes at the zoo with their special tours and animal encounters. I participated in the Primate Keeper Experience and it was awesome!

I helped the zookeeper prepare meals for some of the monkeys along with some treats hidden in some toys for some enrichment excitement. You will be blown away at some of their diets and to what degree everything is precisely weighed and measured, plus  they know all the different monkeys by name. This was so much fun and I am excited to do another behind the scenes tour again soon.
