Lake Superior Zoo Offering Preschool for 20-21 School Year

The Lake Superior Zoo is giving kids ages 3-5 a wild education with preschool starting in September.

The new preschool program from the zoo will be "a comprehensive nature-based curriculum that establishes a foundation for children to become stewards of the natural world and prepare them for kindergarten and beyond."

The preschool will run from Tuesday, September 8, 2020 – Thursday, June 10, 2021, and will be Monday through Friday with dropoff starting at 7:30 and pickup by 5:30.

The Lake Superior Zoo says a typical day will include playscape play, zoo walkabout, outdoor play, whole, and small group sessions. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in the program.

Applications will start being accepted on February 3rd, there is a $25 application fee when applying. A $360 deposit is required by April 3rd and the monthly cost is $900.
