Since it was announced that Universal picked up the rights for the E.L. James book "Fifty Shades of Grey" there has been a swirl of rumors regarding who would play to two lead characters, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.  Fans have their own favorite actors and actresses they wish to see in the movie, and I'm going to throw my two cents in.

In the book, Anastasia "Ana" is described as, "a pale, brown-haired girl with blue eyes too big for her face."  Some of the actresses that have been thrown in the ring as possible Ana candidates include this list HERE.

To me, Alexis Bledel fits that description.  She looks young enough, pale enough, she could be made down for a more "plain-girl-next-door" look.  And you can't tell me her eyes don't look too big for her face:

As for Christian Grey, upon his first meeting with Ana, he's described as "...very attractive.  He's tall, dressed in a fine gray suit, white shirt, and black tie with unruly dark copper-colored hair and intense, bright gray eyes..."

Finding the perfect "Fifty Shades" is going to be more difficult, and met with more scrutiny, than the casting of Anastasia.  Many fans of the trilogy know that the perfect "Christian" has to be hot.  He has to be able to pull off a "dark side," he has to be young, and he must be able to pull off a "billionaire look."

I found it nearly impossible to narrow it down to one choice, so I have two favorites.  My runner-up choice is more controversial.  You either love him, or hate him.  I may be biased, or influenced by the origin of the Fifty Shades trilogy, but can anyone pull off a brooding and sexy-but-dangerous look better than Edward Cullen Robert Pattinson himself?

So who can pull it off and pull them in at the same time?  My first choice is Chris Hemsworth.  Maybe it's because I just recently saw "Thor."  (Where he does go shirtless, ladies!) He doesn't have the Twilight-haters against him, and he's not one of the overexposed celebs that many fans are hoping the casting director stays away from.  His age is right on point, and if tinted his eyes could be gray and his hair copper.   I think he can pull off sweet, and he can pull off dark.  But really, it's his clothes I hope he pulls off.

What do you think about my choices?  Who would you like to see as Ana Steele and Christian Grey?
