I'm obsessed with thrifting, and Goodwill is one of my absolute favorite spots. Who doesn't love updating their wardrobe for a fraction of the cost, snagging a few books to add to their collection, or discovering that unique vase you've been hunting for?

Plus, there's always the thrill of the unexpected—finding a vintage treasure or a quirky piece of decor that adds character to your home. Goodwill makes it all possible and all while supporting a great cause!

Goodwill shoppers in Minnesota are in for a special treat as big changes are on the horizon. Changes that will save you even more money!

If you're an avid Minnesota Goodwill shopper, you've likely already noticed that their texting system is no longer active. I've been asking and I'm so excited to share the news about why.

The new rewards program sounds like it's going to not only be super convenient, but a money saver's dream. Currently, at least at the Minnesota locations, you get random texts when they have special deals for rewards members.

Moving forward, I'm told it's going to be a point system. The employee that mentioned this to me seemed super pumped about the change - noting that it's going to be a fantastic upgrade to their system.

I reached out to headquarters to get more info, but unfortunately have not heard back. However, there are other Goodwill locations doing a point system, so I looked further into what they're doing and if it's anything like them, ya'll are going to be so thrilled.

Goodwill stores in Southeastern Wisconsin and Metro Chicago recently introduced the Goodwill Perks Plus. The "new and improved loyalty rewards program, designed to give you even more ways to save while shopping at your favorite Goodwill stores." Adding that you'll get the same benefits you had from Club Goodwill Rewards and more!

They even have a 3-tiered program - silver, gold, and platinum. At Platinum, you'll receive 1.5 points for every dollar you spend. You'll then get a $5 coupon for every 100 points - available in your account within 24 hours of the purchase.

Anyone else crossing their fingers hard hoping for the same point system?

Anyway, the Goodwill Easter Seals website still says the new program was supposed to start in July, but according to an employee at a Rochester store, it's looking like we can expect it later this year.

If you're a frequent Goodwill shopper at a different location and have already seen the new rewards program, please share by sending us a message on our app. I'd love to hear about it!
