Somebody in Hermantown, Minnesota is $150,000 richer thanks to their decision to purchase a Powerball ticket for the drawing that took place on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Saturday's drawing featured a $400,000,000 jackpot and while the Hermantown winner didn't take home the the big grand prize, falling just one number short, winning $150K is certainly a make someone's extremely happy.

The Minnesota lottery announced the winning ticket on Monday, April 25 through their official Facebook page:

Hip hip hooray!  Congratulations to Hermantown on a $150,000 Powerball winner from the April 23, 2022 drawing.

The winning Powerball numbers on April 23 were: 10-39-47-49-56 Powerball 8, Power Play 3x.

The big question now is who bought the winning ticket at the Hermantown Walmart? In order to win $150,000 they would've matched 4 out of 5 white numbers while also matching the Powerball number. They also made what turned out to be smart decision by spending a little extra for the Power Play® feature.

Recently, regulation changes took place in order to protect lottery winners who win over $10,000, so unless the winner decides to go public with their lucky day, we may never know who this bigger winner is. The regulation changes occurred because big money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.

If you recently purchased a Powerball ticket at the Hermantown Walmart, you may want to use the handy online Minnesota Lottery number checker to make sure you're not sitting on a $150,000 payday.

Since nobody claimed the $400,000,000 Powerball Grand Prize on April 23, the next Powerball jackpot will grow to $421,000,000. That drawing is coming up Monday night at 9:59 p.m.

If you want to take a shot at all the dough, remember the cutoff to purchase your Powerball tickets is 9:00 p.m. on the days of the drawings, which are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
