Winning $2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Northern Wisconsin
Some lucky resident or visitor of Northern Wisconsin just scored a pretty massive payday!
Officials with the Wisconsin Lottery are reporting that a winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million was sold in Superior, Wisconsin, for the July 12, 2025, drawing.
The winner was just one ball away from an even bigger grand prize, with the jackpot well over $200 million, but $2 million is still a pretty amazing prize to win!
The winning numbers this person played were actually worth a $1 million prize, but they opted for the $ Power Play add-on, which doubled the total payout to a cool $2 million. That's probably the best extra dollar that person ever spent, doubling their prize by an extra million dollars!

The ticket was sold at the Harbor View Super One in Superior, which is located at 2202 East 2nd St in Superior, WI. The winning ticket matched 5 numbers (8, 16, 24, 33, and 54), but missed the Powerball, which was 18.
The winner has 180 days to claim their prize. Details on how to do so can be found on the Wisconsin Lottery's website.

Super One gets something out of this, too! Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes over $599 get a 2% Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, which can go as high as $100,000.
In the case of the Superior Super One and this particular prize, the store will get $40,000.
Wisconsin has been on a bit of a hot streak with big lottery winners lately. A week earlier, a $2 million Powerball ticket was sold at a different grocery store in Appleton, Wisconsin. In all, this is the third Powerball payout of $1 million or more in Wisconsin in 2025.
