The 2018 St. Paul Winter Carnival is planning on building a huge ice palace at the State Capital that will happen to coincide with the Super Bowl in Minneapolis.

The organizers of the Winter Carnival announced the $15 million palace during an annual meeting earlier this week, they hope on making this palace larger than the one built in 1992 for when the Super Bowl was at the Metrodome, that one was 162-feet.

According to TwinCities.com, one person who has seen the plans of the palace said: “It looks like Superman’s Fortress of Solitude."

Work will get underway December 15th and organizers are already warning that the weather and other factors can delay or change things, as Superior can tell us, don't get too excited about a project made of ice.
