Planters, owned by Minnesota-based Hormel Foods, is looking for a team of recent college graduates to go on a truly unique adventure during the summer of 2026, all inside a vehicle unlike anything else on the road.

In a recent press release, Planters announced it is searching for people ready to “break out of your shell” and hit the highway in the iconic NUTmobile. The 26-foot-long, peanut-shaped vehicle logs more than 20,000 miles each year, visiting communities across the United States.

Meet the "Peanutters"

The NUTmobile travels with a team known as “Peanutters,” who serve as brand ambassadors, drivers, and caretakers of the legendary vehicle. According to Planters, the company is looking for strong communicators, charismatic personalities, creative content creators, and colorful storytellers who are comfortable engaging with the public.

A love of travel is also essential. Last year’s Peanutters visited 46 states and met more than 160,000 people along the way. Stops included festivals, parades, college campuses, and community events, making the role part road trip and part marketing dream job.

Interested candidates must submit a resume along with a short video highlighting what they would bring to the role by February 14th. Planters notes that creativity, humor, personality, and a love of snacks are highly encouraged.

A Rolling Piece of Brand History

Patrick Horbas, director of marketing for Planters, said, “Our Peanutters are the ultimate nutty snack squad, steering a giant 26-foot-long peanut on wheels and turning everyday moments into memorable experiences. They bring the brand to life in the most delightful way possible.”

First introduced in 1935, the NUTmobile received a refresh last year, adding playful details like a peanut-shaped door handle, a neon-lit selfie station, and an exterior 360-degree camera. For Minnesotans, it is another example of a homegrown company putting a quirky stamp on the national stage.
