The restaurants owners shared the news on their Facebook page Wednesday (October 7th), writing the following:

With heavy hearts, we will be closing the doors of Mike's Western Cafe after 38 years of business. Thank you so much for your support over the years. We have met so many people, made lots of great friendships and made MANY lasting memories. We appreciate all of you more than you know. Thank you for everything. Mike and Deb

Their dishes like hamburger gravy, patty melts and soup were also popular favorites among locals. The owners of Mike's Western Cafe did not give an exact reason behind the decision. The closure is effective immediately.

Like all other restaurants in the state, Mike's Western Cafe had to close in mid-March because of the pandemic and they never reopened. In May, the restaurant celebrated 38 years in business.
