Hungry? A ‘New York-Style’ Deli Is Coming Soon To Duluth
I'm a sandwich guy and I enjoy trying new places to eat, so this news about a new dining option coming to Duluth is pretty exciting!
If you've driven on Superior Street through Downtown Duluth lately, you've likely noticed a bunch of paper signs covering the windows of the old T-Icy Roll ice cream shop at the corner of Superior Street and 2nd Avenue East.
For quite some time, there were signs hanging in the window teasing Tacos Tacos Tacos coming soon to this location, but those signs have since been removed and new paper signs are up for a different business that is planning on setting up shop in this Downtown Duluth location.
Introducing "Rocket Deli", coming to Downtown Duluth
The new paper signage is promoting a "New York-style deli" called Rocket Deli that is coming soon to 202 East Superior Street.
Signage for the new deli promotes a menu that will include sandwiches, salads, and soups along with sides and desserts.

The signage even promotes some of the specific menu items, which include things like a classic Rueben sandwich and a spicy twist on the classic, a deli turkey sandwich, a Caprese sandwich, pastrami sandwiches, and "The Italiano" which features multiple deli meats along with smoked provolone and other toppings.
Soups like creamy chicken wild rice soup and tomato basil soup are highlighted along with sides like pasta salad, potato salad, kettle chips, and fruit cups.
Desserts include things like New York cheesecake, lemon ricotta cookies, and rice crispy bars.
The new business also has a website and social media presence, though there isn't much information on either quite yet. The Facebook page was launched this fall, with their first activity being adding their logo on October 12 and a post on November 12 sharing the Merriam-Webster definition of the word "rocket", which is also posted on one of their windows.
While we don't have any more details about this new business quite yet - including when it will open - but I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this one because it is definitely right up my alley!
