
Semisonic Will Play Two Nights at First Ave. in Minneapolis
Remember the 90s band Semisonic? They are still around making music and touring, and will play Minnesota later this year.
Best known for their #1 song 'Closing Time', Semisonic will start touring again starting this fall with two shows in the main room at the legendary First Avenue in Minneapolis on September 9th and 10th.
Tickets for both shows go on sale this week, presale begins tomorrow June 10th, and tickets go on sale to the general public starting on Friday, June 11th at 10 AM. This is an 18+ show and tickets cost $42.50 and are limited to 6 per person.

Semisonic is from Minnesota and last played the main room at First Ave. back in 2017 after they reunited after not having played together for five years. The band also dropped a new EP last year called You're Not Alone, which features 5 tracks, and is the first new material the band has released since 2001.
Formed in 1995 after the band Trip Shakespeare broke up and two of its members, Dan Wilson and John Munson met drummer Jacob Slichter and formed Semisonic. The band reached international fame with their second album Feeling Strangely Fine, on which you can find the mega hit 'Closing Time.'
They also had a hit in the UK called 'Secret Smile,' that song went to the 13th spot on the UK charts and became one of the big summer songs of 1999 i n the UK.
