My friend Linda told me about a mess that happened in Douglas County. Apparently, someone dumped a mobile home in the ditch near Maple, Wisconsin last week. Seriously, it was an entire mobile home that was complete junk.

It was dumped in a deep ditch just off the road at the intersection of Harju Road and County F in Douglas County, just north of Maple, Wisconsin.

Kristie Essen took pictures of the trailer on the night they believe it was dumped. As you can see it's pretty banged up.

Locals say that it appeared in the ditch on the night of October 16. Some people are wondering how this mobile home that was in such bad shape even made it out there. County crews came to haul it away and had difficulty because it was so rotten and gutted, according to Linda. It took a lot of work to dig it out.

Whoever dumped this trailer was trying to get rid of it for free, putting the bill on taxpayers. It can cost thousands of dollars to demolish and dispose of a trailer like this.

What kind of person would just dump a full mobile home? Could there be some evidence of who owned it inside? Hopefully, someone knows something, and the person can be held accountable. If you know something, contact the Douglas County Sheriff's office at 715-395-1371.
