Can you imagine being forced to go out in the elements on a freezing cold day, barefoot and in a wet bathing suit? That is what happened to one Ninth Grader at a Twin Cities high school.

Kayona Hagen-Tietz is probbaly now regretting using the rest of her swim class to use the diving board as she was the last one in the pool when the fire alarm went off at Como Park High School in St.Paul.  Kayona was rushed outside with just a towel and nothing on her feet, with other students huddled around her trying to keep her warm.

According to the school policy Teachers are not allowed to let students in their vehicles, but after 10 minutes one of the teachers was allowed to make an exception and let Kayona in her car. Still the damage was done and Kayona was found to have frostbite on her feet.
