We have all seen the one neighbor who has the greenest lawn on the block, even during a stretch of hot summer days, he is not trying to conserve water.
Summer is here and it is getting hot, and many Northlanders are heading to the beach. We don't have the ocean but we do have the biggest fresh water lake in the world and with it comes many dangers including Riptides or Rip Currents.
Last summer for my birthday one of my present was what some consider a gag gift, but I loved it..."The Pocket Hose" . Well, due to me not paying attention, my first pocket hose is no more.
Water is one of those things we take for granted, we just turn on the faucet and let it fly, not much to think about. Unless the hot water is all used up, or the water is a weird color, then you pay attention. :) But do you ever think how much water you actually use?
When it is so bitterly cold like we are experiencing right now, many of us are eager to get back to the warmth and safety of our homes, but our homes take a beating too when it gets this cold.
