The Park Point Sand Modeling + Water Safety Expo Is July 19th

Get the family ready as the Annual Water Safety Expo and Sand Modeling Contest at Park Point Beach is coming up July 19th, 2018.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 19th from 10am - 3pm at the Park Point Beach House. This year will feature the yearly sand modeling contest, numerous games, live DJ, and demonstrations on safety topics such as:

• throw rings
• life jackets
• water safety
• rip currents

As always, the event is free, but make sure you bring your own beach blankets and sand building supplies. Judging for the sandmodels will take place at 1 pm with the winners receiving prizes. The Park Point Beach House is located at  5000 Minnesota Avenue on Park Point.

So bring the family and get ready for some outdoor fun. As of right now the high temp for next Thursday is 76 with a chance of rain later in the evening. However we're still over a week away, so a lot of changes can happen with the weather.
