The 2026 Duluth Polar Plunge is officially in the books, wrapping up another year of raising money for Special Olympics of Minnesota by jumping into the frozen Duluth Harbor off Lake Superior.

This year's plunge was once again held on Duluth's Park Point, with one notable change. The registration site and post-plunge gathering moved up Lake Avenue from its long-time home at The Garden to a new spot for this year at 310 Pub in Canal Park.

While not as warm as the weekend prior,to this year's event (when temperatures soared into the 40s). the 2026 plunge still had cooperative weather with plenty of sun and air temperatures in the lo 20s. A bit of a breeze pushed wind chills down to a "feels like" temperature closer to 10 degrees, but that didn't deter plungers from taking this year's dip.

In all, 463 registered plungers participated in the 2026 Duluth Polar Plunge, raising a total of $94,202 to benefit Special Olympics of Minnesota.

In total, the Duluth Polar Plunge has raised over $3 million in the history of the event.

Once again, the top individual fundraiser was Brandon Moe, a Special Olympics athlete who led all individual fundraisers with $4,423. Local college and community organizations as well as a number of businesses were well-represented with teams of people who raised money and took the plunge during this year's event.
