Because of my dad, I grew up watching and loving scary movies. Jeanne and Tony both shared their top 5 and now it's my turn, enjoy!

    Light's Out (2016)

Granted this movie just came out, but it has you hooked and feeling scared from the very beginning. I even slept with every light on in the house after seeing this movie. So if you want to remember being scared of the dark was like, 'Light's Out' is worth checking out.

    House of 1000 Corpses (2003)

By far the best movie Rob Zombie has written and directed. It will make not want to stop at any roadside attractions or pickup hitchhikers. Nothing worse than finding out the hitchhiker belongs to a crazy family and realizing you just signed your own death certificate. "The boogeyman is real, and you've found him"

    Suspira (1977)

Probably the best and scariest movie about witches to date, Legendary director Dario Argento hit a home run with this eerie tale. This movie was the reason I didn't attend school in Europe (I almost did), because I was convinced something bad was going to happen.

    The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Even to this day, the sound of a chainsaw makes me cringe. I dread the thought of driving down south in a small town and running into a family like this. The movie may be old, but somehow the low quality gives this film an even more creepy feel to it.

    Halloween (1978)

From the score to the acting, this film will have you on the edge of your seat. The music just draws you in as Michel Meyers continues his terror through Haddonfield. Originally dubbed as the baby sitter killer, I think this movie stands the test of time and is a must watch on Halloween night.
