The Black Student Union at UWS presented Superior Police Chief Nicholas Alexander with an African Kente for his support of their organization.

The Kente is an item of colorful clothing that originates from Ghana and according to Chief Alexander, "has a variety of historical meanings and is considered a royal and sacred cloth. In modern times it has been used around the world for special ceremonies, for college graduates, and for other occasions as a symbol of accomplishment, honor and pride."

It's encouraging to see police reaching out to community and academic organizations like this, keep up the great work!
