Earlier today we shared the news that Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of Ameria was reopening, now we're getting word that Valleyfair is doing just the opposite.

Valleyfair released a statement today saying that Valleyfair " would remain closed for the rest of 2020 due to the ongoing challenges related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic."

They said that they've come up with a safety plan that meets all the guidelines, but due to the uncertainty in the region, and the low number of remaining days left in a normal season, they have decided to keep the park closed.

Regarding tickets, all season pass holders can use their 2020 pass in 2021, and they'll also get some rewards that they can use in the park next season. Any single day tickets prepurchased for the 2020 season will be honored through September 6, 2021.

Valleyfair is already planning for 2021, with some fun things planned including the Peanuts Celebration, Corn Feast, and the new Lakeshore Landing event space.

Raul Rehnborg, Vice President & General Manager of Valleyfair said, "We thank our guests and associates for their continued loyalty and support during this challenging time, and we look forward to seeing you at the park in 2021."
