You Won’t Believe How Much Sugar is in Kwik Trip’s New Milk
Kiwk Trip is always trying new things, it's one of the reasons I love them so much, you never know what you'll find on each visit, my latest find is delicious, but you'll get a whopping dose of sugar if you try one.
Whether it's finding a new hot item at the deli, a new flavor of dunker donuts, or a new beverage option, I love trying the new stuff that Kwik Trip releases, and this new Nature's Touch (Kwik Trip's in-house brand) Limited Edition Vanilla Milkshake flavored milk was something I grabbed immediately.

I'm not sure why, but I took a peak at the nutrition facts and I almost dropped the bottle when I got to the amount of "total sugars", this flavored milk has more sugar than a bottle of Mountain Dew, a can of Redbull, or popular sports drinks like Gatorade.
According to the label, the Kwik Trip Vanilla Milkshake flavored milk has a mind-blowing 82 grams of total sugar, 58 of those grams appear to be added, as milk already has some amount of sugar, that much sugar equals 118% of the daily value.
According to research, the average American consumes 82 grams of sugar each day, and that is over double the amount recommended by the American Heart Association, which is 38 grams for men and 25 grams for women.
A standard sugar cube is 4 grams of sugar, so a 16 oz. bottle of the Kwik Trip Vanilla Milkshake flavored milk contains over 20 sugar cubes! The only thing I could find to come close to this amount of sugar is something like a Rockstar or Monster energy drink, those can contain over 80 grams of sugar.
But how did it taste? In one word, sweet, it essentially tastes like someone scooped 50 spoons of sugar in a glass of milk with a drop of vanilla extract. I poured samples for the office, and everyone agreed that it is VERY sugary and sweet, I think everyone made a face when trying it for the first time, not a bad face, just a face of, "wow, that's sweet."
