Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts Opening New Northland Location

If you love donuts and ice cream you'll soon be able to get both under one roof when this new Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts opens soon in the Twin Ports.

If you're like me, in the mail recently you got a mailer from Baskin-Robbin and Dunkin Donuts, which I thought was odd considering I know the ice cream chain isn't in the area, but on the rear of the mailer they list a Superior location.

This will be the first Baskin-Robbins shop in the Twin Ports and the third Dunkin' Donuts, the new 2,480 square-foot store will be located at 110 E. 2nd St. in Superior as part of the new Bluewater Flats mixed commercial and residential development. The store should benefit from not only the nearby and attached apartments but there are two hotels and lots of tourist traffic at Barker's Island and Hwy. 53.

Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts are both owned by Inspire Brands which also owns and franchises Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In, Jimmy John's, and more. Baskin-Robbins has nearly 8,000 locations worldwide and Dunkin' Donuts has nearly 13,000 worldwide locations. All of the 2400+ United States stores are locally owned and operated.

The new Bluewater Flats are scheduled to open in January, no word on when the new Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts store will open, but it won't be long, the concrete was poured back in June by Arrowhead Concrete and the signs are on the building right now.

Baskin-Robbins is known for its variety of flavors, after all, their slogan is "31 Flavors". Can you see the "31" in the BR logo? In its 75 years in business, Baskin-Robbins has created over 1400 flavors, good luck trying them all.

Bluewater Flats will feature 83 apartment units, some with long-term leases, and some furnished short-term leases are also available, the complex will feature a rooftop deck with lounge space, games, and grills. Residents will also enjoy amenities like a gym, indoor parking, a pet washing station, bike storage, and of course a short walk for fresh donuts or ice cream.

According to its website, there are 5 more commercial locations available at Bluewater Flats, including a large 3,172-square-foot space with an optional outdoor patio space, perfect for a restaurant or bar. The location next to the Baskin-Robbins is also leased, but no word on what will go in that space.
