Everyone knows that smoking is bad for you, right?  Then why do we do it?  Isn't your health, the health of your loved ones, and your overall well-being more important than smoking?

Many smokers who have quit or tried to quit know it isn't easy.  It takes a lot of self-control, determination, willpower, support, accountability and incentive.  The big incentive is the obvious.  Your health.  But money is also motivating  isn't it?  If you're a smoker who has been thinking about quitting, then I've got some good news for you!  The UMD Medical School-Behavioral Medicine Laboratories are conducting two research studies in Duluth and they are looking for SMOKERS to participate in the study. Subjects that are involved in the study do get paid and are offered free counseling if they would like to quit smoking.
