This week we fly back to this week in 1990 to visit a TV Show about two brothers and an airline, Pete Rose pleads guilty and a number one hit from Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat.

The TV Show 'Wings' debuted this week in 1990. This dramedy (comedy-drama) was about two brothers and friend who ran an airline in Nantucket with all their wacky friends and employees. The show was nominated for three Emmys and lasted eight seasons. 'Wings' also took place in the same universe as 'Cheers' and had some guest appearances from the cast of 'Cheers' throughout the show's run.

Pete Rose pleads guilty to hiding $300,000 in income and is sentenced five months in prison for tax evasion, three months in a community treatment center, a $50,000 fine and one thousand hours of community service.

Paula Abdul's 'Opposites Attract' off her debut album 'Forever Your Girl' reached number one for three weeks. The song featured The Wild Pair and was originally released in '89, but charted in 1990 and is considered one of the first popular hits from the '90s. It was also her fourth number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 and at the time made her the fourth artist to score four number one hits off one album (Whitney Houston, George Michael, and Michael Jackson being the other three).
