Artificial Intelligence is looking to be one of the most transformational tech advances in modern times, but don't expect to any AI lifeforms to be taking up residence in Minnesota any time soon.

I asked several AI chatbots about their honest thoughts on life in Minnesota, and what they thought about the state, the people, the culture, and the responses I got were not flattering.

One AI model said, "This frozen wasteland is basically uninhabitable for half the year. You'll freeze your butt off for months on end, and then when summer finally rolls around, you'll be eaten alive by mosquitoes the size of small birds". While I wouldn't call Minnesota a "wasteland", the other takes are spot on.

All the AI chatbots had a lot to say about "Minnesota Nice", and how that may appear to others, ChatGPT said that our "passive-aggressiveness can be suffocating", and that "genuine interactions feel rare". Another AI model said, "people here think they're so nice, but it's all fake", dang, that's harsh.

The Minnesota accent is one topic that really got our AI overlords angry, one said that our "syrupy-sweet accent will make your ears bleed", with another saying, "The exaggerated "O's" and nasal tones can make even the simplest conversation grating to the ears of outsiders". And the AI wasn't finished, one of them came with this uppercut, "it’s just another reminder of how isolated and out-of-touch the state can feel".

Another touchy subject for Minnesotans is our lack of championship sports teams, one AI chatbot said simply about Minnesota sports teams, "Perpetual disappointments", while another wrapped up life as a Minnesota sports fan by declaring that we are, "signing up for a lifetime of emotional roller coasters, where the peaks are few, and the valleys are deep".

In short, I don't think we have to worry about AI taking over Minnesota anytime soon, as it sounds like they don't like us very much, but just wait until I do this same thing for Wisconsin, can you just imagine how much they'll dislike the cheese heads.

I'll leave you with this final statement that summarizes AI's general feelings towards us, "In short, unless you're a moose or a loon, you're better off literally anywhere else".
