Two powerhouse brands are teaming up to launch a new in-store shopping experience aimed at helping customers plan and get inspired for their next home project.

Minnesota’s Best Buy and Sweden’s IKEA Launch Collaboration

Minnesota-based Best Buy and Sweden-based IKEA have announced a partnership to bring a new shop-in-shop experience to 10 Best Buy stores starting this fall.

The goal is to show how customers can pair Best Buy's appliances and electronics with IKEA's affordable and stylish home furnishings to create functional living spaces.

IKEA Makes U.S. Retail History

This marks the first time IKEA products and services will be offered through another U.S. retailer. In Minnesota, IKEA already operates a massive showroom store near the Mall of America and several smaller “Plan & Order” locations.

Each participating Best Buy store will include a 1,000-square-foot IKEA section featuring inspirational kitchen and laundry room setups, according to a press release announcing the collaboration.

Where the Pilot Stores Are Located

The new concept will debut at 10 Best Buy locations, five in Florida and five in Texas. Two stores, located in Lakeland, Florida and Alamo Ranch, Texas, will also serve as pick-up points for IKEA orders placed in-store or online.
