If you're looking for a memorable camping adventure, Minnesota has a wealth of great options.

Whether you enjoy the rugged beauty of the North Shore, the sweeping prairie landscapes of Western Minnesota, the bluff country of Southeastern Minnesota, or the lakes and wilderness of Central and Northern Minnesota, there is a lot of variety to explore and appreciate.

With so many great camping options to enjoy around Minnesota, what are the best places to camp? That certainly depends on who you ask and what you value in a camping experience.

A popular camping app and online resource took it upon themselves to use their data to highlight what they say are the best places to camp around the country. The camping app The Dyrt published their best places to camp list, highlighting a couple of phenomenal camping destinations around each region of the country. Two Minnesota camping areas made the list!

What Minnesota camping destinations are among the best places to camp in the country?

In the 10 places in the Midwest highlighted by The Dyrt, two Minnesota spots were in the top 5.

The campground is right on the southern shore of Fall Lake, with 64 campsites nestled among pine, aspen, and fir trees. The campground has both electric and non-electric sites with tent pads, RV sites, fire rings/grills, showers, beach access, drinking water, and even a camp store for things like ice and firewood.

The Dyrt says the secluded location with the list of amenities and easy access to fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities are among the reasons this place is so great.
