Christmas Holiday Brings Changes To Superior’s Garbage + Recycling Collection

The upcoming Christmas holiday will bring changes to the garbage and recycling collection schedule in the City of Superior.  Officials with the Public Works Department are working to alert residents about the changes so that they can plan accordingly.

All City offices, the Public Works Department and the landfill will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25, 2019.  For the week of Christmas, service will be altered in the following ways:

• Residents that have Monday and Tuesday collection dates - should plan to have their garbage carts out to the alley by 7:00 AM on Monday, December 23 for collection.
• Residents that have Wednesday and Thursday collection dates - should have their garbage carts out to the alley by 7:00 AM on Thursday, December 26.
• Residents that have Friday collection dates - will see no change to their pickup schedule.

As far as recycling goes, that schedule will be delayed by one day on those dates - according to the city's website.  Click here for more details.
