The Minnesota Vikings announced today that they will not be exercising the 2017 option for Adrian Peterson, so where does he end up playing next season?

The 10-year veteran of the NFL should have some interesting options to choose from for the 2017-18 season. The speculations is all over the place, with places like Green Bay (please no), New York, Dallas, Tampa Bay and Oakland being named as potential suitors for Peterson.

Bovada.com has put odds on where Peterson will play in week 1 of next season and has Tampa Bay as the early favorite. The Vikings, Giants and Chiefs are all tied for the next best odds to have Peterson on their roster at the start of the 2017 season.

Just please, don't let him land on the Packers. I know how ironic it would be to Vikings fans that cheered when Brett Favre donned the purple and gold. To see the best running back in the history of the franchise just trot over the state border into cheese head territory is something I don't need to see. This fan base has had more than enough heartbreak in the last 20 years, we don't need to see AP in green and gold.

I hear Tampa Bay has some nice weather and we only play them once at home next season...
