Duluth Public Library Drops New Content Streaming Service
If your New Year's Resolution is to read more books, the Duluth Public Library is here to help - and make it so much easier! They launched something special for their cardholders.
Reading more books and watching less television is a common resolution people make year after year. Other common resolutions? Work out more, eat healthier and live life to the fullest. Reading more books may be the easiest one, though!
The Duluth Public Library has made big changes over the past few years, in part due to the pandemic. Thankfully, their doors are officially open again and they have even kept curbside pickup active, which is something they implemented during the first part of COVID-19.
Now, they are making big changes once again, announcing a new content streaming service for their loyal cardholders. This means cardholders will have access to just under one million titles.
Yes, you read that right. The Duluth Public Library now has 950,000 titles for cardholders to watch free of charge. The new service is called Hoopla Digital and it allows instant access for you to read, watch and listen to any book in their catalog.
They shared the news via press release, writing that Hoopla Digital allows cardholders to "borrow content immediately" removing any type of restrictions one may have when trying to read books or take in content.
Hoopla Digital was officially released on January 1st of 2022. Hoopla Digital offers all of the following:
- Audiobooks
- eBooks
- Comic books
- Music
- Movies
- Television
Any of the above can be streamed multiple different ways, including the following:
- Your computer
- Television
- Your phone
- On the Hoopla digital app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku
Remember when I said that hitting your New Year's resolution will never be easier if that resolution is to read more books? Now you know what I meant! Hoopla really makes it easy to take in new books, and other content, without leaving your home.
As mentioned, Hoopla Digital is only for cardholders at the Duluth Public Library. In order to register, you just need your library card number and pin. You can register on Hoopla's website now.
The Duluth Public Library is located in downtown Duluth, at 520 West Superior Street. Happy reading!
