Construction will begin soon on a new electric car changing station in Canal Park.

To my knowledge there are two electric car charging station in Duluth: Duluth Depot parking lot and Holiday Center parking ramp. So for electric car owners, this is good news. According to the press release, Minnesota Power, Enbridge and Hunt Electric all partnered together to donate and install a $377,000 solar panel electric car charging station in the parking lot by the former Endion Station building in Canal Park.

This project will help Duluth's energy initiatives and enable the City to tap into renewable energy credits. Construction will begin next week and anticipated to be complete by May 2017/he new charging station is anticipated to be complete by May 2017 and will be maintained by the City of Duluth.
