A decade of "Just Dance"? Sounds like reason to celebrate.

Ten years ago, a relative unknown named Lady Gaga released the first single that would catapult her into pop-consciousness. The lead track from debut album The Fame, "Just Dance" would eventually shoot to No. 1 in January 2009, and it would spend three weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Gaga tweeted her gratitude to fans for supporting her in 2008, and across the ensuing years.

"I can’t believe it’s been ten years since the release of Just Dance. It’s very emotional and I am so grateful to little monsters for sticking by me all these years. Cheers to many more, filled with love & bravery to be yourself. I love you so so much," Gaga wrote Sunday (April 8) before adding to the sentiment very early Monday morning.

"I love you little monsters 4eva. The last decades been a blast I will never forget. I can’t wait for the next. If you don’t have any shadows you’re not standing in the light. I wrote 'just dance, gonna be ok' right after one of the hardest times in my life. It was true."

And fans were thrilled to celebrate alongside her.

"Love you forever! You changed my life for the better. Thank you for inspiring me every single minute 'cause YOU inspire me to be the person I am meant to be," one wrote, while another noted "I’ve been a little monster for more than a half of my life and I don’t regret anything. So proud of you."
