Duluth’s Craft Beer Scene Takes Another Hit in Lincoln Park
It’s been a rough week for beer lovers in the Twin Ports. Hoops Brewing announced it was shutting down its Canal Park operation, and now another familiar taproom has decided to close, leaving many in the local craft beer community wondering who might be next.
Founded by two veterans who took over the former Lake Superior Brewing Company, Warrior Brewing officially launched in 2021. By 2022, they had opened their first small taproom inside the brewery, which quickly grew into a larger space in the heart of Duluth’s Lincoln Park Craft District.

Last call for the Lincoln Park taproom
Earlier this week, Warrior Brewing announced that “last call” at the Lincoln Park taproom will take place on Saturday, February 7. After that date, the taproom location will officially close.

Over the coming weeks, the taproom will host its final events, including the last line dancing night on January 28 and the final trivia night on January 29. A farewell party is scheduled for February 6, with the final market event taking place on February 7.
The brewery isn’t going away
The closure of the taproom does not appear to be the end of Warrior Brewing itself. In a statement, the brewery said, “While this chapter is coming to a close, a new one is on the horizon. We have plans for the future and will continue our mission…brewed by veterans, to support veterans.”
Fans of their award-winning Barbarian Imperial Stout, which won a silver medal at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival, can breathe a sigh of relief. The beer isn’t going anywhere, even if the Lincoln Park taproom is closing its doors.
