The Minnesota Vikings came ready to play for week three of the NFL season against a Chargers team that was weakened by injuries, but lead by one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

The Vikings, like they did to the Lions Matthew Stafford the week before, put a beating on Rivers, sacking him 4 times, landing multiple hits and intercepting him for a 91-yard defensive touchdown from veteran Chad Greenway, Rivers was pulled for Kellen Clemens midway through the fourth quarter.

Adrian Peterson was the highlight on the Vikings offence, with 126 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Teddy Bridgewater ended the day 13/24, 121-yards and one interception.

The Vikings move to 2-1 on the season and go on the road next week to take on Peyton Manning and the undefeated Broncos.
