Must See Clip From Twins Broadcast When Announcer Talks About Preferred Hot Dog Size

Things got a little weird during yesterday's Twins game broadcast on Bally Sports North when talk of the 'Dodger Dog' turned a little awkward for a moment.

The Twins were playing the Dodgers in Los Angles and at Dodger Stadium is the 'Dodger Dog', it's a 10-inch long pork weiner topped with ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, and sweet relish. Things go a little bonkers when broadcast analyst Glen Perkins starts talking about his 'Dodger Dog' experience.

When asked what he thought about the hot dog by play-by-play announcer Dick Bremer, Perkins hesitated for a moment before saying, "I like a shorter, thicker hot dog", he could have stopped there and cut his losses but he continued, "That one was a little long and skinny for my liking."

At that point, Bremer had to try and say something, but realizing that there is not much he could do to save his partner at that moment said, "You realize there's nothing I can say at this point that's going to make this any better."

Of course, the clip made it to Twitter within minutes and spread like wildfire, eventually, Perkins saw the clip and replied by saying, "It’s like peeing. Once I started I couldn’t stop."

In 2011, National Hot Dog and Sausage Council said that during the 2011 season, 2 million 'Dodger Dogs' were sold making it the best-selling hot dog in major league baseball.

Perkins Played his entire career as a pitcher with the Minnesota Twins before retiring in 2018 and moving over to the broadcasting side of the game, which seems like a good place for him as he's not afraid to say anything.
