Thanksgiving Brings Changes To Superior's Garbage Schedule

The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday will bring changes to the garbage pick up schedule for residents in the City of Superior. The move follows the usual protocol for holidays and planned days off.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, all city offices and the Superior Public Works Department will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. This closure also includes the Superior Municipal Landfill.

Residents who usually have their garbage picked up on Mondays will see no change to the schedule for this week. All other pick up days, though will be shifted early by two days - as early as 7:00 AM.

As far as recycling goes,the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday pickups will not be changing; those with a Thursday or Friday pickup will be delayed by one day. The City of Superior doesn't directly pickup recycling materials - they contract out to Hartels/DBJ. Any recycling questions should be referred to them at 218-729-5446.
